Choose your favourite pasta and throw it in some heavily salted boiling water. Cook to your liking.

In a food processor, combine a handful of basil, a few cloves of garlic, pine nuts or walnuts, freshly grated Parmesan, and some olive oil. Pulse until combined and season with salt and pepper. A squeeze of lemon juice is also a nice addition.

Adjust the pesto according to taste. If it's too thick, add some more olive oil. If it's too garlicky, add some more basil. You really can't screw it up.

Strain the pasta and toss it in the pesto. It tastes great hot but is also very enjoyable cold or at room temperature! #notcontest #pasta #pesto #dinner
