Super easy and cheap! .5 cup strong coffee + .5 cup whole milk in a pan, bring to a boil and add .5 cup oats. When it starts to thicken, add cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom (and cloves, if you wish) to taste. I have cheap spices so I have to use more -- .5 teaspoon cinnamon, a little less than a .5 teaspoon cardamom, a pinch each of nutmeg and salt. Stir to combine, sweeten to taste (for me, usually 1-2 teaspoons of sugar, but I like using maple syrup more). Meanwhile, heat a knob of butter over medium high heat in a sauce pan, once melted and hot add sliced, peeled banana and sear until golden, then flip and do the same. After the oatmeal finishes, let it rest for 5 min, then put in a bowl and pop on the banana slices! Enjoy ?
