Corn chowder. Cook bacon, sauté sweet onion, add minced garlic, add diced potato and sliced serrano pepper. Meanwhile purée fresh corn then add to the pot. Add water until desired consistency and finish with a few glugs of heavy cream. Tonight I finished it with a salad of radish, tomato and cabbage seasoned with rice wine vinegar and grilled shrimp.. inspired by my love of shrimp and grits- just a little lighter tonight!
