Press tofu until dry. Put some muscles in it! Slice tofu into 9 equal pieces lengthwise.
Prepare two bowls, one with a beaten egg, into the other is salt, white pepper powder, ground dried shallots, sweet potato starch and five spice powder. Dip tofu into egg and then into mixture.
Deep fry tofu sticks in really medium/hot oil.
Remove from eat and let cool before eating!
