Ingredients for making Kerala Fish Curry:
1. King Fish - 1/2 kilo
2. 1/2 Grated coconut
3. 1/2 Raw mango
4. Big tomato -1
5. 1 1/2inch ginger
6. Green chili- 3
7. 3tablespoon red chili powder
8. 2 teaspoon turmeric powder
9. Tamarind 2 tablespoon
10. Coconut oil 1 tblspn
11. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
12 Salt ( as required)
13. Curry leaves
Take chopped fish pieces in a bowl, add in turmeric powder and mix well. Set aside.
Now pour some water over tamarind and let it soak for 5 minutes. Mash them well, strain and set aside.
Heat coconut oil in a earthenware pot. Add mustard let them sizzle and pop.
Add curry leaves and get a quick toss.
Add pieces of tomato, ginger paste, green chili and fry till it becomes soft.
Add turmeric powder and red chili powder and sauté for 30 seconds.
Add coconut paste, and pieces of raw mango and add required salt and water let it boil for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile add turmeric juices after boiling coconut gravy for 10 minutes add fish pieces mix well and add required water. Bring it boil. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Now remove the lid and add some curry leaves on the top. Mix well. Serve with rice.
