Chop bacon into chunks. Fry in bottom of pot. Dice half an onion and add to bacon. Sauté until translucent. Chop potatoes into medium chunks. Sauté with onions and bacon for a bit and then cover with milk. Lightly boil until potatoes are soft. Add previously cooked or smoked trout, and vegetables (I used leftover green beans and frozen corn). Salt and pepper to taste.
