Learning that homemade oatmeal can happen in the microwave has been a morning game changer! I read about it on the Fannetastic Food blog. The key is mashed ripe banana. For me, that's the only sweetener needed. To the banana, add equal parts milk of choice (or water when you're out of milk- like I did here! and rolled oats and a big dash of cinnamon. Microwave for about 3 minutes, stirring halfway through. Top with nuts, seeds, dried fruit, coconut, etc.
