Take your favorite pie crust (mine: two sticks of butter, two-and-half cups of flour, one tsp salt, one tbsp sugar, ice water). Line the bottom of your pie plate with half the crust.
Meanwhile, soak all your blackberries in some dark rum, with sugar and maybe a hint of nutmeg. Thicken the filling with flour or cornstarch.
Pour into pie plate. Layer the top with circles of pie dough -- a water glass works well to cut them. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes, then at 350 for 30. #baking #notrecipe
