Made hamburger buns from scratch tonight. Super easy just a long rise time. 1lb flour + 2.5 tsp room temp butter + 2 eggs + .5 tsp salt + ( mix of cup of warm water, 2 tsp active dry, 2 tbsp sugar, 3 tbsp milk, wait 5 mins). Knead for 10 mins adding flour as you go, I used a lot of additional flour because my mix was sticky. Let rise until doubled, separate into 8 even pieces, and let rise 1-2 hours. Top with egg wash and seed of your choice. Bake at 400 for 20 mins with pan of water in the bottom of the oven. Viola. Recipe from The Homemade Pantry.
