The ultimate al fresco sandwich--
a riff on City Feed and Supply's "Farmer's Lunch":
Find your best hole-y sliced bread.
Mix some finely diced cornichons into a bit of mayo.
Spread one side the bread with said "pickled" mayo,
and one side with whole grain Dijon.
In between, stack a few slices of sharp cheddar,
few slices of crisp Granny Smith Apple,
and a handful of soft red lettuce.
