Pickling baby mangoes for the whole family was annual tradition that my mother cherished. This is the first time ever I've seen these tiny mangoes in New Jersey. A couple of tablespoons of sesame oil, turmeric and kosher salt and coat the cleaned and dried mangoes. Store in a clean jar for a week and the salt will draw out the liquid from the mangoes and become brine. The brine is then blended with cayenne and mustard seeds and the mangoes are added back in for about 3 weeks more until the mangoes absorb the flavors. #momtest #farmersmarket #f52farmstand
