A homemade take on "hong you jiaozi" -- dumplings in hot sauce. And trust me, it's hot. Dumplings are made from scratch, but not by me. They're from White Bear in Flushing, NY; truly exceptional dumplings. For the sauce: get some Chinese chili flake oil (make sure it's oily and spicy), heat it up, and add in soy sauce and sugar (the dynamic duo of delicious Chinese sauces). A little sauce goes a long way, in both heat and flavor.
