Turkey meatball shortcut pho:
Toast cinnamon, clove and star anise in a big pot. Brown onion and ginger (and maybe some garlic cloves) under the broiler for a couple of minutes. Add to the pot with chicken broth, and simmer. Soften fresh rice noodles in the broth, then add to bowls with garnishes.
We had frozen homemade turkey meatballs, so that's what we added (with carrots and bok choy)
Garnishes: Thai basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, lime wedge, sambal, and a little hoisin.
