Baking up homemade croutons!
Super simple- any level cook can do it!
Cube up any stale loaf of bread and put in a mixing bowl. I used a half stale loaf of sourdough beer bread. Drizzle olive oil while lightly tossing bread around until cubes are coated generously with oil. Add any seasonings you wish and gently coat oiled bread while continuing to toss. Seasonings will stick to the oiled bread. I added fresh garlic, granulated onion, granulated garlic, fresh cracked pepper, dried basil and chili flakes. Bake at 400 degrees on a flat baking sheet lined with foil for 6-8 minutes or until desired toasted crispness! (On foil so you can pour all the crispy bits as a topping!) Serve on top of roasted veggies, salad, dip into fondue or whatever your little bread loving heart desires! ??
