Easiest most healthy and delicious Marinara & Pasta
Heat on high salted water in large pot.
Fresh very ripe tomatoes 5
Garlic cloves chopped 3-4
Extra virgin olive oil
Fresh ground black pepper
Crushed red pepper flakes
Italian died herb blend
Romano and Parmesan cheeses grated
Heat sauté pan with olive oil
Cut tops of tomatoes and score, place cut side down and place lid on pan and steam on medium heat until skin peels. Peels skins and discard.
Squeeze tomatoes with tongs to smash to create sauce, continue to cook.
Add salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, dried herbs, honey, more olive oil, garlic. Cook for 10-15 min, stirring occasionally. Add chopped fresh basil. Cook 1-2 min.
Add pasta of choice, here I used flax seed grain angel hair. Cook pasta to al dente. Drain. Add drained pasta to pan. Stir with tongs to coat pasta with sauce. With tongs, plate pasta in dish. Grate with Parmesan and Romano cheeses on top. Bon appetito! ?
