Asparagus pickles! Asparagus, garlic, brine that's 50/50 water and white vinegar, spices like peppercorns and mustard seed in equal proportion with salt (eg 2T spices and 2T salt). Boil brine, add to jar with blanched asparagus and garlic, let sit in fridge for a week before eating. Or process properly in a canner.
