How do you solve a problem like Maria (or lots of sourdough starter discard? Bake with it! Sarah Jampel made King Arthur Flour's swirl bread, which uses 1/2 cup of starter (unfed and everything!). She replaced the cinnamon and raisins with cardamom and dried cherries. Next stop French toast? Grilled sandwich?
