Homemade #elderflower #cordial. Dissolve 500g sugar and a few squeezes of honey in 1-1.5l of water. Submerge 15-20 heads of elderflower, (flowers down). Add the zest of two lemons and the juice of one, plus a few slices. Leave to steep for 24 hours then strain through muslin. The flavour of #summer!

Yes, not Queen Anne's lace. The flowers look similar but elderflower is from the elder tree (sambucus). You find the in hedgerows across the UK and they flower in June and July. Then you get elder berries from them in the autumn, which can be used for jellies, jams and baking.

Is this another name for Queen Ann's lace flowers? They look very similar ?

No, elderflower is sambucus and queen ann's lace is in the carrot family. It is also edible, however.
