Even though that there is Benton's bacon (link below), the real save-the-day ingredient in this crostini topping was the sour beer (!). The rest, from our Creative Director Kristen: Start by crisping the bacon, scoop it out so it stays crunchier, then sauté sliced shallots, minced garlic, and chile flakes in the fat. Dump in broccoli in small-bite-sized pieces, add a little water and salt, cover, and crank the heat to steam them in the pan till tender. Realize it needs acid, add the sour beer you're drinking. Top with crunchy bacon, serve with 7-minute eggs and garlic toast.
