Blueberry Nectarine crisp with walnuts and orange blossom water. The ultimate #notrecipe repeated many times over throughout #summer and fall. Here's the formula, to be varied based on season and fruit. Mix the fruit with a few spoonfuls of sugar and a spoonful of flour. Add lemon or lime zest if wanted. We also added the orange blossom water this time. For the crisp, equal parts flour (we used rye flour), toasted nuts and if you want, rolled oats. If it's autumn, I'll usually add some cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. Rub in a significant amount of butter, and put this all on top of the fruit. The proportions of fruit to topping are up to you. My husband would go heavy on the topping, I prefer more fruit. Bake at 375 until browned and bubbling. #summerberries #dessert
