Fried zucchini blossoms are my favorite "potato chip". Non-GMO corn starch, self-rising flour, and water comprise the batter, and the blooms sizzled away in safflower oil before being scooped out, drained on absorbent paper, and finished with good flake salt. #lickingtheplate #zucchini #zucchiniblossoms #edibleflowers #fried #battered #potatchips #courgette #summer

Melina, thanks for this recipe and for your reply. I work in the seed industry and can share firsthand with you that farmers take pride in safely and sustainably producing GM crops to feed consumers around the world. It's fantastic to have choice in the marketplace, but know that GM ingredients are not to be feared. If you a spare moment, I'd encourage you to visit gmoanswers.com for more information. Cheers

Why non-GMO? What's wrong with regular corn starch?

Gmo products have highly toxic pesticides and herbicides injected into the seeds, to resist those things as they grow. Those chemicals (the pesticides and herbicides) are carcinogenic and interfere with our organs, like our brains and reproductivity, and have long-term environmental consequences, to name a few.
