Our creative director Kristen is hitting new lows in her grocery stocks, and new highs in fried toast experimentation. This one was sourdough fried in a thin but thorough layer of olive oil, flipped, topped with blue cheese, then stuck under the broiler. It was ?, but next time she might flip earlier so the blue cheese can bubble and brown a little longer under the broiler without burning the bread. Really excellent byproduct: blue cheese frico.
