Apple Frangipane Tart - make 1-2-3 dough (1 part sugar, 2 parts butter, 3 parts flour) with egg, a dash of vanilla and lemon zest. Make frangipane with almond paste. Spread frangipane in uncooked tart shell, arrange sliced Golden Delicious apples, sprinkle with sugar and bake at 375 F until crust is dark brown and edges of apples are nicely browned. Cool on rack and brush on apricot glaze.
