Chai-spiced oatmeal, a cozy fall breakfast!
Make chai tea with equal parts milk and water (my favorite is Meera Sodha's roadside chai). Strain chai, and combine with stovetop roasted fruit. Bring mixture to a boil and stir in oats.
This morning I used some late season plums, but usually I use apples.
When I have them, I love to top this breakfast with nuts, seeds, maple syrup or honey!
