Mussels with Hefeweizen Beer
Chop 1 onion, 2 cloves garlic, 2 leeks, 4 stalks of cellery and 2 carrots fine. Glaze in butter. Clean and rinse the mussels under cold water and add to the vegies and put the heat on high. Poor in a bottle of Hefeweizen beer or Hoegaerden Belgian beer and cook for 5 mins. Shake the pot so the top layer moves dien and cook another 5-10 minutes. When all mussels are open and cooked take them of the heat. Serve with french bread and beer or white wine.
