Beans & Rice Burger

1 cup black beans (canned or cooked)
1/2 cup brown rice (cooked)
~1/2 cup cashew pieces
~1/4 cup minced onion
~2 Tbl flour
Sage
Fennel seed
Red chile flakes
Salt
Pepper

2 Tbl ground flaxseed
4-6 Tbl water

Mix flaxseed and water (use more or less water depending on how much liquid you include with the beans) and set aside to form a flaxseed "egg".

Mix remaining ingredients except flour, including just a small amount of liquid from the beans. Crush the beans partially as you mix. Add flaxseed "egg" and just enough flour to absorb excess moisture and continue to mix. Result should be about the consistency of raw ground meat. Form into parties and bake 20-30 minutes at 400, flipping half way through.

Shown served with guacamole, cilantro yogurt, and crumbled cheese on a bed of shredded lettuce on a corn tortilla.
