Toast with marinara, artichoke hearts, a fried egg, cheese, and basil.
What I did: lightly toasted the sourdough so the marinara wouldn't make it soggy. Then layered marinara and sliced artichoke hearts and a fried egg. I left the yoke soft so that the broiling process wouldn't overcook it (I like a runny yoke). Topped egg with salt and pepper and shredded cheddar. Broiled the whole thing in the oven until cheese was bubbly and beginning to crisp. Topped with slices basil.
