Classic French onion soup with gruyere cheese and good crusty bread

Caramelize 2 medium to small yellow onion. Add two tbsp minced garlic last few minutes of cooking the onion. 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce and 6 cups of beef broth (or vegan beef broth works well) simmer for 20 minutes. Divide into oven proof bowls, place thick slice of crusty bread, top with gruyere cheese and broil until bubbly.
