Lemon + Berry cake

Cake was made with my usual ratio ( for each 1 cup flour: 1/4 cup fat, 1/2 cup liquid, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup applesauce, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 3/8 tsp baking soda) and I added the lemon zest + juice of from 2 lemons , vanilla bean, and some assorted berries

Topping was the remaining berries cooked down with agave syrup into a jam, thinned down and poured over while the cake was still hot as a glaze

Next time: with poppy seeds!
