Honestly, I didn't measure anything out and only went off of look and feel. So I wish I knew the answer... 😅 But I would recommend finding a standard bread recipe and as for the spices, I used 2 star anise, seeds from 4 cardamom pods (but I would recommend 2 unless you love cardamom), 1/2 stick cinnamon, 1/2 tablespoon ginger, and 1 tablespoon of honey used with the starter and another tablespoon in the dough after it rises. Thanks! 🙏 I'm brand new to baking bread (this was literally my second attempt), so there was obviously some room for improvement and tweaking, but this spice mixture added a really interesting complexity that I'll definitely be using again in the future 😁
This was honestly my second attempt ever at making bread 😅 Cooking the loaf in a cast iron pan worked wonders and the semi-spontaneous decision to add those spices was what really elevated this loaf compared to the first!
