Behold! The classic Gin Sour.
Sometimes the best drinks are the simplest ones. Happy break time! #happyathomehappyhour
2 oz. Gin (I used Bombay Sapphire East- it has nuances of lemongrass and black pepper).
3/4 oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice (or lime or both).
3/4 oz. Simple Syrup.
Pour the three ingredients into a mixing glass- A pint glass works great. Add ice and stir with bar spoon. Some people shake it, I don't. It bruises the gin. SHAKE VODKA, NOT GIN. STIR GIN! 😁
Strain into cocktail glass, add more ice if desired and garnish with citrus wedge. I broke my coupe classes at the last party I had. Classic glasses for this classic cocktail. I used a heavy bottomed martini glass instead. Works wonderfully. I add ice because I'm a light weight!
