Ingredients

  • 2 FILETS OF BEEF 3/4 - 1" THICK
  • 2 SLICES FRENCH BREAD SAUTEED IN BUTTER
  • 1 SHALLOT, CHOPPED
  • 1 tablespoon EACH ANCHOVY PASTE AND BUTTER

  1. QUICKLY SAUTE THE BREAD SLICES IN HOT BUTTER IN SKILLET AND REMOVE
  2. ADD THE FILETS TO THE SKILLET FOR 3 MINUTES ON EACH SIDE, REMOVE AND PLACE ON THE BREAD SLICES
  3. LOWER THE HEAT A LITTLE. ADD THE SHALLOTS AND ANCHOVY PASTE AND MIX,ADD THE WINE AND STIR UNTIL THE SHALLOTS SOFTEN. POUR OVER FILETS AND SERVE
