Author Notes: Milk Punch. I know, I know, it sounds weird but this drink has been around since the 1700s, in some iteration. While the drink then involved curdling milk, this century’s version is a chilled and slightly sweet drink. There are many variations out there but they all involve milk, ice, sugar, and booze. —Stephanie
- 4 ounces heavy whipping cream
- 4 ounces milk
- 2 ounces rum
- 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- optional ground nutmeg
- Combine all ingredients in a large cocktail shaker. Fill with ice.
- Shake until thoroughly chilled. Pour into two small glasses or one large glass. Garnish the top with ground nutmeg, if desired.
