Serves 1

  • 1 Bartlett pear, sliced with skin on
  • 1/2 frozen banana, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger root, peeled and grated
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/8 cup milk
  1. Puree all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Serve immediately. Or, for a thicker smoothie, place covered in the fridge for an hour to allow the oats to soak up the liquid.
