Author Notes: Perfect addition to a mezze platter and so easy to whip up at home. By making it yourself you can also tweak the flavour to your liking. Teresa Ulyate

Makes: 1 cup

  • 1 400g tin chickpeas
  • 50 milliliters olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • pinch of salt
  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor and whizz together until smooth. Cover and refrigerate before serving.
