Creamy Non-Dairy Hot Chocolate

A vegan hot chocolate that is creamy and smooth. The vegan holy grail! —My Goodness Kitchen

  • Makes 2
  • 2 tablespoons coconut or an unrefined sugar
  • 1/3 cup coconut milk
  • 3 tablespoons raw cacao powder
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt
In This Recipe
  1. Add the sugar and coconut milk to a small saucepan on low heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, the mix will be thick.
  2. Add cacao and stir to a smooth paste (remove from heat if you feel your mix might burn).
  3. Return to heat and add 1/2 of the almond milk and stir to combine.
  4. Add the other half. Stir in vanilla and a pinch of sea salt.
  5. Bring to a simmer and remove from heat.
  6. Allow to sit for about 3 three minutes before serving.
