Author Notes: This recipe is simple and adaptable. Any kind of milk and any kind of chocolate will work, so customize to your heart's content. If you want to keep this recipe vegan, be sure to select soy milk or nut milk and a chocolate that has no added milk products. If you aren't vegan, using a flavored chocolate bar is a lovely twist - try orange flavored or mint flavored chocolate bars for a festive essence. —Samantha Ardry
Makes about 2 cups
- 2 cups milk (your choice)
- 1/3 cup chopped chocolate (your choice)
- Combine the milk and chocolate in a small saucepan. Over medium-low heat, stir the mixture until the chocolate melts.
- Divide between two mugs and serve.
