These shredded tender brisket beef fajitas are slow cooked to make it tender and very delicious. —The Tortilla Channel

  • Serves 2
  • 1 Fajitas rub
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Cilantro powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Garlic powder
  • 1 Fresh grounded black pepper 
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 500 grams brisket beef
  • 0.5 onion for the brisket
  • 2 gloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grounded ginger
  • 0.5 cups sweet soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 flour tortillas
  • 0.5 onion
  • 0.5 bell pepper
In This Recipe
  1. Heat the oil in a Dutch oven
  2. Make the rub and put it on the brisket. Let the beef rest for about 15 minutes
  3. Brown the brisket beef in the pan about 5 minutes per side
  4. When all sides are nice and golden take it out of the pan
  5. Pre heat the oven at 480℉/250℃
  6. Add the onion to the meat juice and stir
  7. Add the onion to the meat juice and stir
  8. Now the water and the soy sauce. Bring to a boil
  9. Return the brisket into the Dutch oven and close the lid
  10. Put the Dutch oven in the oven for 90 minutes
  11. Turn the brisket at about 45 minutes and add some water until the brisket is almost under water
  12. When done at 90 minutes check if the brisket is tender else add 30 more minutes
  13. If cooking time is extended add some water again and turn the beef. Check after 15 minutes and turn the beef once more before taking the Dutch oven out of the oven
  14. Fry the remaining onion and the bell pepper in a skillet
  15. Warm the tortillas in a warm skillet
  16. Shred the brisket on a separate plate. Take a tortilla and add some tender brisket beef, bell pepper, onion, salsa and guacamole.
