Author Notes: Rajasthani Hing Jeera Aloo is easy and very delicious Indian dish. In this recipe, Jeera (cumin seeds) is one of the main spices. Serves: 3

  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Hing - ½ tsp
  • Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Tomato - ½ cup ( Chopped )
  • Salt to taste
  • Potato - ½ kg ( Boiled and peeled )
  • Fresh coriander - 1 tbsp ( Chopped )
  1. 1. Heat ghee in a pan.
  2. 2. Once the ghee is hot, add hing, zeera and methi dana.Let them crackle for a few seconds.
  3. 4. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and salt and cook for another minute.
  4. 5. Break the potatoes into small pieces using your finger and add them in the pan. Add 1 cup water and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  5. 7. Serve hot with poori or kachori.
