Author Notes

This recipe is a combination of Neiman Marcus (Needless Markup) and Claim Jumpers cookies. For a long time I tried to get the Claim Jumper recipe. (The workers have to sign an agreement that forbids them to give away the recipe.) This is as close as I'm able to get and I believe the secret is the ground oatmeal.

Hello Cynthia,
My apologies, that was a minor glitch on my part. It is 4 ounces of grated chocolate (or one small sized candy bar.)

How much grated chocolate should be used? I see it in the instructions but nothing is listed in the ingredients for grated chocolate.

This is a delicious cookie! I will make it again but I'll use a little less sugar and it benefits from a few flakes of salt. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you.!
It's one of my most popular recipes in my
6 lb. recipe file. I will try the sprinkle of salt idea .

Can you provide grams of flour for these cookies? Looking forward to giving this recipe a try!

Yes, I will look for a conversion to grams & let you know tomorrow. I don't happen to know metric measurements-sorry.

It looks like 240 grams = 2 cups. I hope you like them, I find them quite addicting. 🙂
