Author Notes: Bisi Sasive is a very popular dish in Karnataka. Made of pumpkin, okra, (Ladyfinger), Brinjals (Eggplant), Suran (elephant foot yam), this is the low-calorie vegetable, ideal for diabetes and is good for weight loss. It is Karnataka Style Mixed Vegetable recipe easy and simple to make.

Serves 2

  • 4-5 dried red chillies
  • 1tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/8th tsp of roasted fenugreek seeds (methi seeds)
  • Water for cooking
  • 1/3 cup brinjals
  • Few curry leaves
  1. Tips While you Cook: One can feel free to add other vegetables like potatoes etc To avoid Okra from getting slimy, cook it in hot oil and let the moisture seal One can refrigerate the paste for a few days if one wishes to.
