Author Notes: Learn how to make coriander rice Recipe. Make this delicious coriander rice and serve it for lunch or brunch at your home. Coriander rice recipe is a lip-smacking recipe from the streets of Mumbai. The essence of the recipe is freshly chopped coriander and more importantly the coriander stems.


Serves: 2

  • 1 Cup Cooked Rice
  • 1 Small Bunch Coriander Leaves, Finely Chopped
  • Coriander Stems, Finely Chopped
  • 1½ Tbsp Oil
  • 1 Tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Tsp Urad Dal (Black Gram Skinned)
  • 1 Tsp Chana Dal (Bengal Gram Spilt and Skinned)
  • 2 Fresh Chillies (Green and Red), Finely Chopped
  1. Heat oil in the pan
  2. TIP: One can also use ghee instead of oil for a better flavour
  3. Add mustard seeds
  4. TIP: One can also add garlic as per their palette
  5. Add urad dal
  6. Add corainder stems
  7. Mix well
  8. Add salt
  9. Cook for a couple of minutes
  10. TIP:If finely chopping the coriander, use immediately to avoid darkening of the leaves. Else, place in water till used.
