Kale-Powered Pesto Pizza

Author Notes: You know those days when your mind says “salad” but your mouth says “pizza?” Enjoy this pizza guilt-free knowing it packs the equivalent of four cups of hearty kale using Amazing Grass Organic Kale Powder. Each single teaspoon of the powder provides two full cups of kale to add a nutritious boost, so now you can have your kale salad and eat your pizza too.Contributor

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh basil
  • 2 teaspoons Amazing Grass Organic Kale Powder
  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 pizza dough of choice
  • 8 ounces mozzarella, thinly sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. In the bowl of a food processor or high-speed blender, add basil, Amazing Grass Organic Kale Powder, garlic and olive oil, pulsing to combine. Add water a little at a time until it reaches desired consistency.
  3. Roll out pizza dough and place on lined baking sheet. Spread green base evenly over pizza and follow with mozzarella and tomato slices (or your favorite toppings!)
  4. Bake for 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and crust is light golden-brown. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
