Great-tasting wine with low alcohol? We didn’t think it was possible either, but the folks at Noughty proved us wrong. Their non-alcoholic drinks are made the traditional way, then dealcoholized using a process that preserves their distinctive body, color, and flavor. This set lets you try their latest varieties (and aren’t we glad).

• Noughty Blanc: White wine, but hold the alcohol: That’s Noughty Blanc. It’s produced just like the real stuff (in this case, using 98% Chardonnay and 2% Chenin Blanc grapes from vineyards in South Africa’s Western Cape region. After that, it’s dealcoholized to 0.5% ABV using a process involving gently spun cone technology under vacuum at a low temperature. (Science, huh?) The result is a non-alcoholic drink with notes of yellow apple, lime, and chamomile, plus aromas of honeysuckle, citrus, and jasmine. Enjoy it any time you’re in the mood for white wine—it’s that spot-on.

• Noughty Rouge: There’s a reason Noughty Rouge has a truer taste than any other non-alcoholic red wine you’ve tasted—it’s made unlike any other non-alcoholic red wine you’ve tasted. It’s produced with Syrah grapes from vineyards in Darling, South Africa, then dealcoholized to 0.5% ABV. (It’s a process involving gently spun cone technology at low temperature under vacuum—very scientific, we know.) The result is a beautiful bottle with rich notes of ripe red fruit, candied cherries, dried rose petal, and crushed black pepper. As for pairing? Enjoy it just like you would a standard red wine.

Noughty is the brilliant creation of founder Amanda Thomson, who studied wine at Le Cordon Bleu School and knows her tannins and long legs like nobody else. This non-alcoholic number already has "special occasion" written all over it.
