How to picnic.

This hand-picked selection of French food comes in a small wooden crate and is perfect for a picnic, cocktail hour, or honestly just a very good dinner. The experts at Bedford Cheese Shop in New York have chosen their favorite cheeses and snacks: French butter cookies, mustard, cornichons, petit toasts, and 3 types of French cheeses.

The cheese selection includes:

  • Caprin: A charcoal-dusted goat's cheese -- it's mellow and sweet when young and a little randier as it ages.
  • Essex St. 9 month Comte: Bedford Cheese Shop calls this a "romance novel of a cheese", and we're a little bit in love with it too. It's a raw cow's cheese -- ideal for melting, with sweeter notes of caramel and butterscotch. Eat it with a glass of Chardonnary. Thank us later.
  • Brie de Jouvence Fermie: If there is a greater pleasure than an oozy Brie cheese spread on a cracker, we don't want to know about it. This thermalized cow's milk cheese is creamy, garlicky, and rich.

Ingredients: Mustard: water, mustard grains, vinegar, salt, citric acid; Cookies: wheat flour, fresh butter, sugar, eggs, salt. Cornichons: pasteurized gherkins, water, onions, vinegar, salt, tarragon, yellow mustard seeds, coriander, aromas, calcium chloride; Toasts: white wheat flour, glucose-fructose syrup, yeast, salt, palm oil, emulsifiers (may contain egg, milk, and sesame).

Basket Includes:: 1/3 ounce of each cheese (3 types), 1 jar of Amora mustard (150 g), 1 box of TraouMad Cookies (12 butter cookies total), 1 jar of cornichons (6.7 ounces), and 1 box of petits toasts (3.1 oz)
