This stunning mesquite polenta board is styled in the rustic Italian custom of serving polenta directly on a wooden table. In the tradition of Polenta alla spianatora, the cooked polenta is poured out flat, topped with slow braised wild mushrooms (or any sauce -- we like bolognese) and set in the middle of the table for friends and family to share.
It's got a shallow lip to prevent polenta from spilling. And small finger holds on the bottom of the board make it easy to carry the hot dish to the table. Each board has its own unique characteristics as each piece is custom made from a fallen piece of Mesquite from the Sonora desert.

Clean with warm water and dry imeadiately. Never soak in water. Apply mineral oil every six months. Mesquite is a hardwood and this board will last a lifetime if cared for properly.
