The Royal varietal goes back hundreds of years, but has lately been reduced greatly in production due to difficulties in cultivating the olives. Castillo de Canena is recovering this varietal -- it's been selected as one of the 20 best oils in the world by Flos Olei Guide 2014. It's got an intense green color and fragrance.
