When it comes to candy, two is better than one.

Instead of just one unusual, incredible-tasting candy -- how about two? First, Jacobsen Salt Co. brings us their latest discovery from Scandinavia -- licorice with a salty twist. It's a toothsome black licorice with notes of caramel and molasses flecked with perfectly flaky sea salt.

Next up, a perfectly burnished caramel, both soft and chewy, with sparks of salt throughout. We believe all things sweet are better with a sprinkling of salt -- and ever since Jacobsen set about harvesting the first great American salt (straight from Oregon's cold waters using traditional methods), they've been daydreaming about crafting a caramel to highlight it. They keep things simple: slowly toasting sugar with local butter until it’s melted and golden before stirring in heavy cream and generous amounts of flaky sea salt.

  • Licorice: Sugar, glucose, butter, molasses, whole wheat flour, Jacobsen flake sea salt, Jacobsen mineral sea salt, anise oil, and artificial coloring. (24 pieces_
  • Caramel: Sugar, glucose, heavy cream, unsalted butter, and sea salt (7.3 ounces)
  • Made in: USA

  • Shipping & Returns: Free Standard Shipping on Orders $199+ and Easy-Breezy Returns

Meet the Maker

Jacobsen Salt Co.

Portland, OR
Hauling buckets of briny water from the Oregon coast started out as a hobby for Ben Jacobsen, the man behind hand-harvested Jacobsen salt. Since then, he's jolted awake an industry that has been in a century-deep sleep in the United States. Any artisan worth his salt has big dreams, and Ben is no exception -- as he produces, he perfects. We’re happy to help taste test along the way.
