Vintage Copper Bundt Mold With Crown, Mid 19th Century
Vintage Copper Bundt Mold With Crown, Mid 19th Century
Talk about a king's cake.
This unique, hand-formed Bundt mold (c. 1850) has a recessed top rather than the more common decorative raised pattern—which is refreshingly minimal and perfect for heaping your cake with lots of garnishes (imagine piles of whipped cream and berries). Stamped on one side of the mold are the original owner’s initials, "A B D,” and a detailed, aristocratic family crown. The other side is stamped with the very intriguing mark of the maker: "Temple and Crook Ironmongers Motcomb St. SW.” This mold has been meticulously restored and polished to a high gleam by Coppermill Kitchen, so your pound cakes will never have looked so good.
