Vintage Copper Serving Spoon, Mid 19th Century
Vintage Copper Serving Spoon, Mid 19th Century
Can you dish it out?
Hand-cut and crafted from a single piece of heavy gauge copper, this serving spoon (c. 1850) features a maker’s mark on the end of the handle: "Jones Bros Down St. W."—a famous company of ironmongers between 1832 and 1900 who were known for the quality of their work. A hole in the handle (the words are stamped around it in a ring) makes it easy to hang this meticulously restored spoon for display—but it would look just as good in the bowl of potatoes on your holiday table.
